Artist Spotlight: Sara Chaar

Artist Spotlight: Sara Chaar

When did you start making art, Sara?

“I started making art since I last remembered. The first time I clearly remember making something I consider art was when I was 4 or 5 years old. I was in the Caribbean and my grandma had brought me a gift. It was a bamboo table. And so I took the glass that was on the bamboo table and I put it on the grass. Through it I could see the ants, or insects moving underneath. For me this is the first time I consider I made ART. [Laughs]”

What kind of art do you do?

“At the moment, I’m working on abstract paintings. I’ve done other types of arts before and I plan to do so as well in the future. In the present I am focused on abstraction.”
